Catalina Changes and Fixes
- Added **CIDR support** for the configuration of internal and trusted proxies for the **RemoteIpFilter** and **RemoteIpValve**. Configuration via regular expression has been deprecated and will be removed in Tomcat 12.
- Logged warnings when the **SSO configuration** does not comply with the documentation.
- Deprecated the **RemoteAddrFilter** and **RemoteAddValve** in favour of the **RemoteCIDRFilter** and **RemoteCIDRValve**.
- Fixed corruption of the **class path** generated by the Loader when running on Windows. (Bug 69837)
- Rejected requests that map to **invalid Windows file names** earlier.
- Ensured that changes to **session IDs** (typically after authentication) are promulgated to the SSO Valve to ensure that SSO entries are fully cleaned-up on session expiration. (Bug 69839)
- Fixed a **race condition** in the creation of the storage location for the **FileStore**.
Coyote Fixes
- Fixed incorrect processing of **partitioned setting** when generating session cookie. (Bug 69836)
- Fixed copy/paste errors in 11.0.12 that meant **DELETE requests** received via the AJP connector were processed as OPTIONS requests and **PROPFIND requests** were processed as TRACE. (Bug 69848)
WebSocket Fixes
- When using **permessage-deflate** with Java 25 onwards, handled the underlying **Inflater** and/or **Deflater** throwing **IllegalStateException** when closed rather than NullPointerException as they do in Java 24 and earlier. (Bug 69845)
Other Fixes
- Removed remaining references to the **org.apache.tomcat.util.codec.binary** package which has been deleted. (Bug 69847)

Why are there still 20 year old reviews of this app? Or even 10 years old? Nothing from those old version still apply. Clean up this misinformation.

Don't know if I'm mistaken or not, but it says here you must have Tiger or higher AND Java 6, but far as I know, Java 6 can't be installed in Tiger, unless you want to go SoyBean... Wouldn't it be better to say "Leopard and above", knowing that you can install Java 6 on Leopard with a little tinkering? Aside from that, it's really a nice app, with a good-looking interface, that really lets you manage the server end.

Wow - that was *easy* to install. I remember the last time I tried to install Jakarta Tomcat a couple of years ago, it was a bit tricker than this..
This time, I just downloaded it, gunzipped it, untarred it, and it was done.. Just run the bin/startup.sh and you're home free.. Not bad!
